About Me

Building on twenty years of Pilates, and in more recent years Yoga practice, Anne-Marie founded “Encore Pilates & Yoga” in 2015. Passionate in her belief that physical & mental wellbeing are closely linked, she takes a holistic approach to exercise, believing that we as individuals need to connect, understand, and listen to our bodies. With this greater self-awareness comes her conviction that exercise provides the additional benefits of reducing stress levels and anxiety.

Discovering Pilates while working in the very physically demanding role of airline cabin crew, in her own words… “I began to realise that, in order to sustain a sometimes gruelling work schedule, my body required something more than high impact cardio workouts. I started to explore Pilates long before it became mainstream and quickly began to notice a stronger, leaner body, along with increased energy levels, and have been hooked ever since”.

In addition, Anne-Marie is a qualified Yoga instructor and a member of the International Yoga Alliance, having graduated from the Kashish Yoga Training Academy, Goa, India. She is a firm believer in the mental and de-stressing benefits of both Yoga and Pilates, and in how the two disciplines complement each other.

Approved and certified by The International Guild of Professional Practitioners as a pre &  post-natal Pilates instructor, her experience spans years of working with women through all stages of pregnancy and post-pregnancy recovery. She has a particular interest in menopausal & peri-menopausal wellbeing, resulting in tailored Pilates and Yoga programs, designed to help a woman through these challenging years.

As a testament to her diversity, as a mother of two, Anne-Marie has also successfully identified a need to address the specific requirements of the younger generation. Children of all ages have benefited from her expertise and infectious enthusiasm for what she does and her healthy philosophy that “it’s never too early to start”.

A seasoned global instructor, Anne-Marie continues to take her unique and infectious blend of Pilates and Yoga far and wide, gaining invaluable personal experience and enlightenment, which she is only too willing to share.
